Research used local-language and English searches, company materials, public sources, industry associations and directories. The source records distinguish retrieved page content from information observed only in search results. Survey depth varies by country.
The September 28, 2026 snapshot was organized from the saved research ledger without revisiting company websites or conducting new company research. Information Verified Date is the date recorded for each company, not the snapshot preparation date.
Unconfirmed candidates, historical or planned operations, equipment and chemical suppliers, associations and research organizations are excluded from the 1,639 public processing records. Separate plants and entities remain separate when the available evidence does not justify merging them.
Process categories mean that a process was recorded in the source material. They do not constitute an on-site audit. Blank categories mean unconfirmed. Electrical and hot-dip zinc processes are distinguished only where supported. Conditions, historical references and limits on site-level evidence are retained in the detailed notes.
Companies and sites in Japan are outside the scope. A country with no verified records should not be interpreted as having no relevant companies. The database is a snapshot, is not exhaustive, and is intended to be updated over time.
